Brooke Delmas Robertson’s hands-on leadership in the Vineyard, and the Cellar, are showcased in the B | D | R Rhône Red Blend.
Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah make up the bulk of the wine to date, with new clones of head-trained Mourvèdre, Grenache and Cinsault being added to SJR Vineyard to round out the blending opportunities. A future B | D | R White Rhône Blend is in the works with the addition of new varietals Grenache Blanc and Bourboulenc being planted in Spring 2025 as well.
The ultimate expression of SJR Vineyard, the B | D | R includes all varieties in one wine.
Exclusive Cooperage

Beginning with the 2024 vintage, Delmas will utilize exclusively designed demi-muid, 600L barrels tailored to the B | D | R.
Additional complexity will be added by being able to age in these larger format vessels. A specific mix of French forests from the center of France and Vosges were selected for the wood, with grain selections and two different toasts incorporated in each barrel.
We are so fortunate to work with the Team at Tremeaux to craft these beautiful barrels just for Delmas.

With the 2024 vintage, B | D | R will be offered in 3 sizes. 750mL (standard bottle), 1.5L (equivalent of 2 bottles), and a limited amount of the shareable party sized 3L (equivalent of 4 bottles).

From year to year the percentages of each varietal will change, and the final blend will be crafted from the best examples of each varietal, each year.
